Binh Dinh trumps bottom feeder Hoa Phat

Host Binh Dinh scored a 2-0 victory against Hoa Phat Hanoi to capture the return match in the 16th round of V-League play.
Midfielder Thai Duong capitalized on a neat right-foot finish at the edge of the box 25 minutes in to give the home team a one goal lead.
At the 38th minute, Binh Dinh’s Thanh Sang closed out the scoring with a close-range finish.
The players of Hoa Phat Hanoi did not play the game up to their standards, displaying lackluster efforts that offered little resistance.
The visitors grievously failed to follow the game plan that head coach Tomas Viczko had established prior to the contest, as he claimed.
With three points gained from the victory, Binh Dinh moves into a tie for 11th place in the standings with 17 points.
In other matches, Dong Tam Long An (DTLA) played away at Da Nang Stadium in a game marred by controversy.
The contest was stalled when DTLA players bitterly protested the referee due to the overturn of their second goal.
After 10 minutes of stalled negotiation, the match resumed and the visitors were saddled with a 3-2 defeat as the team appeared to lose focus due to its unsuccessful appeal.
Another big powerhouse of Vietnamese football, Hoang Anh Gia Lai, sneaked a 2-0 victory over host Hanoi ACB, while Binh Duong fought to a 1-1 draw against Saigon Port.
Leader Hai Phong was held to a 1-1 tie by Khanh Hoa, but remained atop the league with 27 points.
